Quality Stainless Steel that doesn't rust. Wide enough to blanket cover large pork, beef and chicken roasts and remain in place without sliding off. Heavy enough to keep food fully submerged during the sous vide process.

This is a must have sous vide tool IMO. I use it to assure that part of the meal I am preparing doesn't float to top of the pot. I can simply lay this over a large bag or several small bags and it does the job of keeping them completely submerged.Being stainless sleel and not in contact with the actual food it can be easily rinsed off and dried. I think it's a good product, maybe a little over priced, but it does work as intended and will last for years, so it's worth investing in if you plan to cook many sous vide meals.

When you're setting up your first sous vide you want to get all the accessories. But bags floating around is not really an issue. At least it hasn't been for me. This is nicely made but the clips don't really clip over the side of pots or containers very well. More or less keychain clip.

Heavy enough to hold down the food being cooked helps it cook more evenly. I have not hooked it around the food; I just lay it on top. It makes my Ninja Foodi Cooker Pro Sous Vide setting even better. I recommend this for a good sous vide cook.

Never thought I would ever buy chain mail as I don't typically hang out in Renaissance festivals. But this has been wonderful. Prior I would weigh down my food with whatever I found in the drawer: serving spoons, tenderizer hammer, etc.But this conforms to whatever I'm cooking and hasn't dislodged yet. Whoever thought of this is my new hero...

I was skeptical, but needed something that would hold down our sous vide bags without needing to add magnets to the inside of a sous vide bag. Usually with one or 2 bags, we use a meat tenderizer to hold own the bags (not ideal, but it works), but for Thanksgiving, we were making 2 racks of lamb, which translates to 5 bags in a very large container. needless to say, i couldn't be happier with this purchase, i filled the water, heated it up, and then added the bags. after that, i simply draped this over the bags, adjusted them just a little using a pair of tongs, and BOOM - this held them down and in place (fully submerged). Food turned out wonderful and so happy i bought this.
