Man, I love this machine. It's really solid and was easy to put together. The holes line up perfectly, and I'd swear the machining was done in the US. I was ready to pay twice as much for this quality setup--luckily I didn't have to. I have bad knees, so squats and lunges are OUT. So I needed a leg extension machine to make up what I couldn't do otherwise. This definitely fits the bill.So some info. that you won't get with the ad or other reviews:1) If you're using standard 1" hole 25 lb. plates, you can get 6 of them on there (150 lbs.) I do this with both legs for up to 20 reps, depending on how exhausted my legs are. So if you have strong legs, expect to either do high reps or just one-leg extensions (which are fine with this solid machine) until you reach a level of exhaustion.2) I love how you can offset the fact that weight is less on the early upswing--which is a problem with any extension machine that isn't cabled. Luckily, on this machine, you can set the pads waaay back and slide your ankles behind them for full movement. See pic.3) If you do 150lbs. or more on extensions, you'll feel the back end start to raise up, so when doing that much weight or more, put weight on the back end on the bar behind the seat.4) I just took off the weight swing stopper completely (It's the thick, short bar that keeps the weights from going back when you let them down). You'll see it removed in the second pic. That way I can switch between extensions and curls with no problem. Is it a safety concern? Not that I've found.5) I do 6 sets of extensions and 6 sets of curls for a full leg workout. I use a pulley-based system for curls as I've found that you gotta add like a towel or something to avoid chafing on this machine for leg curls. If I didn't have the cable system, I'd use this one for leg curls, no problem.So all in all, I'm quite pleased with this machine. You won't go wrong with this one.

Long time review coming here. I've owned this Leg Extension machine for awhile. Is it perfect? Probably not. Are there things I would change? Absolutely. So why the five stars?? This company is very responsive, for one! And secondly, I don't think you'll find better value in a leg extension machine on Amazon. That's best bang for your buck!One change I did though was mark center on the arms. That way I know when it's safe to disengage the pin.So unless you're willing to spend all the money, or deal with major frustrations from support, and you're like me - a CPT with a home gym, then is at five this leg extension machine a go!Some other adjustments that I did that just don't matter to me - I removed all the stupid plastic end caps. This allowed me to center the ankle pad. Easy fix, people!

Very good compared to other leg extension machines. Great value for the build quality and stability. It’s a pain to build with the tools it comes with. Highly recommend using a ratchet set. Definitely a two person build as it’s heavy!

First of all I want to make it clear that I am not affiliated with this company whatsoever and I am not getting paid for this review. I'm going to start out by saying I read a bunch of reviews before purchasing this leg machine. Those who said you feel this works one leg first or one leg more, that is all in your head and you simply do not understand the engineering and physics of how this design works. Just because the weight is on one side of the machine, it doesn't mean that one leg works harder or first. The bar that is attached to the mechanism of which the weights go on evenly distributes the weight to both legs. You can even test this by pushing with one leg first a little bit harder and you can feel That it works both legs evenly and at the same time. Now that that is out of the way you can't beat this machine for the price. It is very easy to assemble. It is very robust feeling. No bending or anything anywhere. The gauge of the steel is plenty heavy enough for this machine. This machine is very adjustable from my wife who is 4'11 and works for someone who is 6'. My only complaint is the cheap plastic square pieces at the end of the box tubing where the pad goes on to hold your legs down is junk. One of the square pieces of plastic broke the first time I used it so I just threw it in the garbage. Really it's not a big deal though. The machine is still fully functional without it and worth every penny.

This machine feels very sturdy and functions as it should. I like it, but with the following caveats.SHIPPINGArrived with only one minor cosmetic scratch.DESIGN FLAWThe padded bar your ankles push against is not centered on the seat (image).ASSEMBLY FLAWSJudging from the assembly instructions and the Parts List, the Front Support Frame was supposed to come pre-assembled (image), but it wasn’t. It was also missing the two bolts that attach the arm that holds the weights to the shaft, without which the machine is unusable (image). That’s not a huge deal: I went to the hardware store and bought two bolts that fit. A bigger deal is that there was no lubrication where the shaft passes through the bushings. That’s the main wear point and it needs to be lubricated. I used some automotive wheel bearing grease to lubricate it before I assembled the Front Support Frame.The machine arrived with two right handles and no left handle (image). I first contacted the seller about this on 08/24/2024. They responded promptly and said they would send the missing left handle on the following Monday. I asked for a tracking number on 08/30/2024, and on the next day they said they would send me the missing tracking number on the following Monday. Since then, I’ve heard nothing. I’m very annoyed that they were BSing me and never intended to send the missing left handle, and that’s the reason for my low rating.EDIT 09/26/2024: Received the left handle for the machine yesterday. I'm very happy with the machine overall and customer service came through in the end.
