Not all of the holes in this catio are pre-drilled, but if you have moderate arm strength that shouldn't be an issue because everything is made from soft pine, so the included woodscrews are usable with only a screwdriver.The instructions list that you will need a Phillips screwdriver, a small wrench, and optionally, a drill. If you use the drill (to pre drill the holes as needed), you will need a small bit. I'm not sure why the wrench was mentioned - I never found an instruction or part that needed any kind of wrench. Ultimately, the only tool I used was a screwdriver. There are some medium and some small screws, but I was able to complete assembly using only a medium screwdriver.Once assembled, everything feels quite sturdy but lightweight. The floor of the catio isn't stained or finished so I'm usure how it will hold up over time. It's quite thin wood - I plan to stain mine for some weather proofing.The mesh on the sides is fully metal wire mesh. It's very strong.The entry/exit flaps are stapled on and mine don't hang quite straight, even after a few days. They're slightly curled at the bottom, so the outside air always gets in just a little. I wish that the inside had an actual door seal instead of flaps, for weatherproofing. I'm afraid that once it gets hot outside, I'm going to need to remove the catio from the window, but I'd love to give my cats the option of hanging out on it when it's hot (since they'd be able to come inside right away when too hot.)Pros:Assembly is straightforward and simple.Things feel sturdy.Cons:I have doubts that as delivered, this may not survive the elements well. (Mine is under a covered porch to mitigate this.)The door flaps allow the breeze in, so the window might not be practical when cooling your home in the summer.

This is a cute idea, not super practical in my climate but in spring and autumn it’ll be great. The cats loved sitting in it. It assembled pretty easily and feels fairly sturdy in place. Measure your windows carefully.

My cats love this window unit and get a little fresh air. The tightly mesh keeps bugs away. Highly recommend this!!!!
