This is a nice rain gauge. Be aware it's important to bring it inside if it drops below freezing because the glass will break from frozen water

I love this rain gauge it is very nice. This is the first rain gauge I have bought since moving to a new state. It gets so much colder here than my home state and I didn't think about taking the glass rainholder out of it when temperatures got around 5° or less. My brother-in-law stopped by the house and as we walked out to his car he looked over and he said did your rain gauge break? I looked and sure enough the glass from the bottom was shattered and laying in my flowerbed. I have ordered new rain gauges in plastic but I am still going to be mindful to bring it in when the temperatures drop below freezing. I'm not deducting any stars I still think it's a great product and it's my fault for not thinking about it freezing.

I love the looks of this rain guage; however, it was was advertised as freeze proof, but that is not the case. Mine broke during the first week of freezing weather.

Easy to put together and seems quite sturdy. the gauge is nice and big...up to 7" of rain. Good price. Time will tell if the glass gauge will survive the winter.

I love this! Very well made. Attractive metal with decorative curves and touches culminating with a sweet bird on top. The spikes on the bottom are sturdy and hold the gauge in the dirt. The glass gauge is thicker than what I have seen elsewhere and has large, easy-to-ready numbers. The vertical blue strip in the tube enhances the visibility of the water level. All for an excellent price.

This is a nice, pretty, and sturdy rain guage. I bought these for all my grandchildren and they all loved them! So I would definitely buy again, in fact thinking of buying myself one!

Product was advertised as pre-freeze proof, which is why we got it. It is already shattered after just a couple weeks of colder nights.
