I love Mary Janes and needed brown ones, so I decided to give these a try.I'm wearing these today (no socks). I've walked on various surfaces throughout the past 9 hours (I'm at around 8,000 steps and 8 floors climbed at the moment).The glue and stitching seem solid.The shoe upper textile is pretty thick and plasticky. They are glued in a way that I thought would be great if walking where I think my feet might need water protection. It turns out, I did test that accidentally today as I got splashed by the waves at my city's harbour, and they were, indeed waterproof, LOL.The tradeoff of the shoe being water resistant, is that the shoe is NOT breathable at all. My feet are very sweaty, and it wasn't hot out. The insole helps in the way it's designed, but I am at the point where I have one more dog walk and then I want to take these things off and let my feet breathe for a while. The insole is very comfortable, with texture and nubs that sort of massaged my feet as I walked.The sole has just the right amount of cushion, thickness, texture, flexibility, and height to be comfortable on all surfaces I walked on today - wood, concrete, brick, cobblestone, carpet, grass, and city streets. I walked up and down hill, and up and down stairs.There is no contrast between the sole and upper, it's the same brown. The stitching is also brown. Very bland.The padded bulge at the heel has started to rub against my heel too much on my right foot, and I have the beginnings of a blister, but not bad given I've barely sat down all day. I can still wear them pretty comfortably. I think if you wear socks it would be better, but I do not like wearing socks.I am women's US 9 shoe size and these are on the normal/wider side of the size range. The velcro closure is pulled as tightly as I can get it (which is not super-narrow at all) - and is still not as tight as I'd like it.I'll be keeping them by the door as shoes for quick errands/dog walks since they are comfy and will be wearable if wet outside.I am giving these 4 stars as a very good, thoughtfully designed, lower/mid price range, comfortable Mary Jane walking shoe.

I was never one for wearing heels of any height. I prefer to wear mary janes because they are just cute and don't kill my feet like many dress shoes do. These have taken a while to break in, but after several weeks they have become soft and very comfortable. Initially I thought they were a little stiff, but now they are the perfect combination of softness and supportive. I don't know if they offer very much arch support because I have high arches. If yours are normal, then these shoes would probably offer support for your arches. They feel like they will last a long time except for the velcro closure. I'm not sure how long that little patch of velcro will hold up, but it would probably be easy to replace. All in all I'm very happy with them.

I was looking for a good pair of dress shoes for work that are comfy, adorable, and suited for both warm & cooler weather, and these shoes fit the bill beautifully!- Look exactly as pictured, color & description are accurate- Quality seems great so far, solid build, very comfortable, but I will update if I run into any issues. There is a built-in heel cushion (to help avoid blisters), the insoles feel amazing, and these are in the top 3 of the most comfortable dress shoes I have ever worn- Sizing seems accurate, and my usual size 7 seems to fit well. My foot measures 9.4", average width, and I normally wear a 7 (occasionally 7.5). These shoes are wide but still comfy, and there is a little extra room at the toe, so I can wear them with or without socks comfortably- I love the style of these shoes, subtle classy detailing, matte finish, thick comfy strap, thick outsoles that give me a little extra height, and a very rounded toe (I've never been a fan of pointy shoes)- Material is easy to clean, and I can just wipe them off with a wet towel if they get muddy- Price is great- My only complaint - albeit a small one - is that the traction is not great, so be careful if you are walking on a slick surfaceI travel for work on a regular basis, and I greatly appreciate a pair of comfy shoes. I appreciate even more a pair of comfy shoes that are also adorable & have a very good price tag. Enthusiastically recommend!!

These are super cute MaryJane-style shoes. They fit as expected. They seem well made and sturdy. I have high arches and the description said good arch support. I don't feel like they were super comfortable for my arches, but they do have some support. If I was wearing them all day for days in a row, they probably would not be the right kind of support, but for just a day here or there, they are ok. They are also a little stiff, but with some wearing they should loosen. Overall, I like them, just wish the inside was more comfortable for my foot type.

Women's shoes with foot support in the correct position, with a high-quality insole and a hard heel that holds the foot in place well. Very comfortable, lightweight shoes for everyday wear. For those with foot problems such as planetary fascia, flat feet, etc., you won't find a better pair. Excellent quality.

First off firstly I don't like the style but they weren't free and you don't want styling by Sue me in the first place that's just asking for trouble however the wife likes this style she says I'm exercise so I ordered excise well guess what they're actually accurate surprise surprise fairly active it's a bit of a surprise and stuff that regarding the pun e system if she came home and didn't b**** and complain to no end my feet hurt me etc etc well they've got to be at least decent I didn't get killed for it there's a bonus so anybody that's actually looking for her like this that likes to style and apparently they got her endorsement as far as me I'm not even trying to fit my feet in there that would just be stupid

These came in professionally. Proper shoe box and not vacuum sealed. Quality is also very nice indeed. Feels like a good branded shoe without a logo. My wife likes it very much. Just hope it doesn't fall apart but should be good!

I really like this retro round toe Mary Jane design. I wear similar style when I was a kid to go to school, but this one is a lot more comfrotable due to its insole has this memory foam layer. It provides great support. This shoes won't scratch the back of my heel even if I wear it without sock because it has a padding pillow on the back of the heel. However, I found it is not very breathable after wearing it for a whole day.
