Rain gauges often look cheap. This one is much nicer and doesn’t take up a lot of room. It’s the perfect look for our wooded property.

Even though shipping was rather expensive ($10 with no other options! now I know why)...I ordered 1 day and got the next! WOW! I ordered 4, so was charged $20 shipping for all 4 and they came bundled all together and delivered USPS....must have done next day? They aren't huge, I guess I should have figured that out since rain gauge only does 5" LOL, and I turned mine so total metal side faces out towards viewing and since I am not lazy I can just walk to it and look to see how much rain it might have :) I got moose, black bear, eagle and deer and they are all very nice overall.

As a rain gauge I am not impressed. It only counts to 5 inches, so if you get more rain than that you won't know the accurate measurement. I do like the deer itself. I went with the copper color and it was much nicer than shown in the picture. The color is darker than the picture and the glitter accents in the paint really catch the light. However, the rain gauge itself is not actually made for this. It is meant to be mounted on something wooden and came with screws that are impossible to get through the holes. It should have come with bolts and nuts to properly mount, not screws. I think I will use this as a decorative item to put in my plants and forget the rain gauge part of it. It looks nicer without the rain gauge blocking part of it anyway.
