Having clear house numbers is the number one recommendation made by emergency services in assisting them to being able to make a prompt response in the case of an emergency. This signage is always present, always backlit at night, and clearly legible in all weather. Installation only requires two screws (for which a template is provided) and is the single most affordable thing one can do to help ensure that first responders are able to locate you in a timely manner.

This a great kit. It includes everything you need to make a great-looking address sign. Complete instructions, two complete sets of numbers (0-9), templates to align the characters for 1-5 character signs, and mounting hardware. If you do need three of one number, almost any number can be made by trimming another (6 and 9 flip, 8 can be a 3, etc) and, in a pinch, ordinary electrical tape can be trimmed and used. It is very efficient with electricity. When I first took it out of the box I left the solar panel facing a window that was not getting direct sunlight and the light still stayed on all night. Highly recommended.

My door is so very plastered with our house number and letter. I have three house letter/numbers up. They were all lost on all but one delivery person. This larger, slightly in your face sign has helped a few more of the delivery people know where my door is. My neighbors still get a package of mine here and there, but this house number situation is solid.It seems to be made from high quality materials that will withstand our new England weather. It went up easily too.

Replaced an old junky, wooden and brass, 70s-looking address sign on my garage on the back alley. That thing looked like middle school woodworking project.This one isn't too modern for my 1915 house, but it certainly very plain/simple.If I were to knock it for anything at this point, it would be for the way you line up and apply the numbers. I'm no perfectionist, but it was an irritating process.

The idea is great -- a solar powered light up numeric house sign. My neighborhood is very dark and the houses are set back from the street, I am always hearing complaints from delivery drivers that they cannot read the house numbers. So I thought this would be great. And mostly, it is. It lights up fairly bright and now my house number is visible from the street even on a dark night.But the unit itself is fairly light, made out of plastic. For something that's made to be outdoors 100% of the time, I would have expected something with a more robust build quality. Also, the mounting wasn't great and the screws that came with it for mounting weren't even the right size. We ended up cutting a board to back it, and mounted the sign to that board and nailed the board into the house. Using some ingenuity we were able to mount it more securely than just the stock mounting options it came with.There's a switch for either a cool white or warm light backlight. The light is plenty bright, and goes on automatically when it is dark. The light is applied at the top of the numeric panel (from the back) so it is not evenly diffused throughout the whole number panel, it's brighter at the top. Although it's not evenly lit, it is still good enough to easily read the numbers.So far the solar charging as worked well but it will take some time, especially through the winter months when the sun's angle is lower and the days are shorter, to see if there is enough light to fully charge the battery.PROS:Good idea, to have a solar powered light up number signTwo color temperatures to suite your tasteCan shut off the backlight altogether if you don't want itCONS:Feels flimsy to me for something that will be outside in the elements 100% of the timeBacklight is not spread evenly, it's brighter at the topMounting hardware did not work as intended, had to come up with my own way to mountConclusion: Only time will tell how long this will last in the elements. Just put this above my garage and it looks fantastic. The numbers are easy to read from the street, and the light is bright without being harsh. I like that you can switch between warm and cool tones depending on the look you want. It was simple to install with the kit it came with, and it’s been working great every night. Definitely adds a nice touch and makes the house easier to spot.
