Reminiscent of the ones I used in Home Economics, this tool is invaluable for achieving a straight hemline particularly as I need to hem pants for my 5'2" daughter. The ruler is made of thin metal (use carefully to avoid bending) and features measurement markings in both inches, divided into 1/8-inch increments, and centimeters with millimeter divisions. The blue sliding marker offers ideal resistance—easy to adjust yet remains securely in place without slipping. The set of three rulers arrived in zipper-top bag, with measurement markings protected by a plastic film covering to prevent scratches and preserve their precision.

This set of 3 measuring tools is a good value. I'm using them with a beginner sewing class, when teaching them to hem a dress. The 6 inch measuring guides are so helpful for them, and such a practical size. These look exactly like the Dritz version of this tool that I've had forever, which is now bent. The rulers have a plastic film over the printed measurements to protect them during manufacturing or shipping, that should be removed before use. I think the measurements are just slightly off compared to my cutting mat. If you use the same tool throughout the clothing sewing project, that won't matter at all. If you're using it on a small item, that slight difference could be noticeable. These are useful and functional. I expect to use them with the students for some time.

These are very handy tools for taking measurements for sewing and tailoring. I was worried at first when the numbers seemed blurry, but there was a plastic film that needs to be removed. As soon as I removed the film, I found that the measurements are accurate and easy to read. They’re thin and easy to bend, so be careful handling them, but overall they’re good quality and useful to have.

I have a Dritz that I paid $3 for about 40 years ago. That was a lot of money back then, but I'm still using it. This looks like a Dritz, but it's not...they go for about $9 these days. These are not very smooth, they are very thin and I don't see the little plastic indicator hanging out for very long. I would honestly advise saving up the money and buying a Dritz...you'll be a lot happier.

These sewing 6" rulers are very flimsy, bend easily, and are difficult to straighten. I might be able to live with that for the price, but that's not the only problem. There is a piece of plastic on the numbered side. It's very wrinkled and appeared to be a protective film, so I removed it. Unfortunately, the film also removed some of the paint. Rubbing a nail on the surface also easily removes the paint. I can't recommend them.

“Just okay” is how I’d rate this. The metal edges are not smooth. I’m concerned it could be a problem. And the metal is thin, which will make it more prone to bending. The slider is good, and holds its position, as needed.I got this pack for student use, so this will be fine for them, but I wouldn’t get these for myself.

Nice sturdy quality. The slider is nice and stiff so it wont slip around easily and you can maintain your measurement. Perfect starter for any sewing kit and you’ll have extra.

I really like using these small Sliding Gauge Measuring Tools when working with small items, like clip art, tags and other small pieces of paper. I dislike trying to use a larger ruler. How many times have you picked up a large ruler only to find you have to turn it around to the other end to measure something? Me, many times! These small sliding gauges are extremely handy! I'm happy there are three in the package. I've been known to misplace things within minutes!
