It's a about an inch smaller in L, W, and H. I waited all day for this to come in just to be disappointed and have to go out for an enclosure at the pet store.

Came all in one piece and already assembled. Seems sturdy and well put together. Would order again!

Not happy. Description said plastic top and it came with metal mesh. This is the reason i went with this over any other. Mesh is not suitable for tarantulas. There is also a decent gap in the glass by the front door. Also the lid is hard to remove. There are no tabs to grab. Almost impossible if you need to get it off without tipping the tank to get leverage. Very disappointed.

My son wanted a gecko so I got this terrarium to hold it in. It is a good tank, very sturdy and well made. I had to learn a lot about setting up a terrarium for this little lizard and when I was done the tank looked great. There are a few things you're are gonna need to get this terrarium ready to be a home but the foundation is there and it's a good one.

I have Reptizoo, Exo Terra, Zilla, Zoo Med enclosures and this is the same exact thing but cheaper. The lid is plastic, not mesh, which is a huge bonus for us Tarantula keepers. Spiders won't get stuck on this lid. The opening mechanism is a slider, not a big deal. Just double check you closed the door. The packaging was fantastic!!! The delivery guy hucked it on my front porch, my kids kicked it inside and jumped and stomped it thinking it was my wife's protein shakes. I also kicked it and stomped it cuz it was in my way and there was no damage. It's delivered with like 2 inches of foam on both sides. 5/5 would recommend

I have the 8" X 8" X 12" version of this enclosure and it is comparable if not better than the Reptizoo or Exo Terra brand which are much more expensive. The front door and latch open/operate smoothly and close securely. There is also access from above through the screened section which also opens. I will be purchasing more of these enclosures for several tarantulas. Recommended,

So, every spring we grow butterflies from tiny caterpillars, and we were in need of an enclosure. This terrarium absolutely does the trick. It came well packaged and in perfect condition. It's not terrifically large, but then that's not what we were looking for either. Plus, if you want, it can hold water at the bottom until the door area that opens. It closes pretty securely, but there is a little gap at the door area. Also, the top of the terrarium is metal but fully ventilated, so no need to worry if what's inside is getting enough air. The top opens, too. Overall, it's great for what we're using it for, and we like that you get a full view of the caterpillars no matter what side you're looking from.

I’ll start with this: I had a bunch of boxes piled on my top step, about 4 feet up from ground level. I usually open my packages and kick the empty boxes down the stairs to take to the bin. So thinking all my boxes were empty, I yeeted the boxes down the stairs and onto the sidewalk when I noticed one package was still unopened. Reading the label, I saw it was this terrarium. Of course the one unopened package was a glass tank, right?Anyway, not expecting much, I opened it and found it in perfect condition. So there’s a testament — even with some FedEx-level package abuse, odds are that this will arrive intact. I’m well-impressed.The tank is very comparable to the exo-terra nano frog terrariums, but without paying for branding. The screen mesh is thick, firm, and coated — much better than the fine wire mesh often seen on these — and is held on by screws rather than a rubber band. The plastic edging is fine — not super thick, but sturdy and well-made. It has a punch-out slot for dropping a cord or hose into it, if you go that route, but once punched out it doesn’t have a slider to close it back up if you change your mind. The top latch is simple and plastic — I could see it being a real pain to fix if it broke, but as I mentioned, the plastic doesn’t feel flimsy or so weak as to easily snap from normal use.The glass is thick and solid, and the plastic hinges and door frame are sturdy enough to handle it. Has good ventilation holes on the door frame, small enough to prevent all but the tiniest of critters from escaping. The door latch is a slider with a slot for a small padlock, and feels very secure.Honestly more than adequate, just as good as a name brand tank of the same size, and about $20 cheaper as of now. No-brainer.
