Great product, but ordered it for a Christmas present and it came in clear plastic bag. The recipient checked the mail so that surprise won't be happening lol

The Rapala Fillet Glove is more flexible than I thought it would be which is great. Being a female I had to guess on what size would fit me. I have somewhat wide hands with shorter fingers usually wearing a large women's fitted glove and this small size Rapala fillet glove fits better than I expected with it being somewhat to wide and the little finger is about an inch to long but the other fingers are close to my size. Comfortable on the left hand when I hold knife in right hand. Still would be nice for companies to realize that women own boats and also love to fish which means cleaning fish so make them in women's sizes also. Being winter I have not been in the boat fishing so have not actually used the glove yet to fillet fish.

Can't say as ANY glove could earn 5 stars whether it's for doing dirty cleaning jobs or keeping hands warm on a cold winter day - there's always some discomfort, some clumsiness - and this filet glove is no exception. Does it do it's job? Well, yes... if that's to keep a sharp knife from slicing your finger - but don't think you can't be poked with a spine or stabbed if you slip with the tip of the blade; it's not a knight's gauntlet. And of course it is a bit on the bulky side, not like a mitten, but your gloved hand is best reserved only for holding the item while the other wields the slicing blade. In that sense get the right size for your hand for whatever cutting task you face. I bought this specifically for a whittling kit I made up for my adult children to be able to introduce this hobby to their families. Each kit included the right sized glove, intended to securely and safely hold the workpiece in case of a slipped stroke of the whittling knife. Does the job, but remember it isn't perfect and be cautious, not over confident.

This is a great glove. I have really small hands and I wanted it to shrink. I contacted Rapala and they wrote back the same day and said they didn't know how to make it shrink but I could put it in the washer. So I put it in the washer and then put it in the dryer and it did shrink and now it fits, it was too wide across the palm. I don't think it would shrink unless you put it in the dryer. I use the glove with a mandoline and its flexible enough to work well.

I use this glove when using a rotary cutter to cut fabric for quilting - my husband suggested this glove after I cut my finger and had to go to the ER to get stitches - one glove works great for either hand! No more cuts!

I purchased this for my husband, who is an avid fisherman. He loves fishing from the ocean and catches a lot of black rockfish. Unfortunately they really cut his hands up. He is always coming home with battered hands after fishing. I had the idea that a glove like this might work, being light enough that he could still handle and feel the fish but tough enough not to get stabbed. So far it has been very useful. He has used it a few times and been very happy with it.

I bought this for a tall older child, the glove fits me snugly and I have large (female) hands with long fingers. This glove will MAYBE fit a small male adult. Maybe. Or a woman with medium sized hands. These items need to have a numerical size on them.

Use this glove to fillet Flounder. The "belly" side of the fish is thin and covered with a tough skin, and if you aren't careful you can slice yourself removing the skin from the meat. This glove is the only one I found which will fit smaller hands, and is not "over-sized". It should work for men with smaller hands, as well as women. In practice it provides a good grip, even with a wet slippery fish.
