I have been using the Safer Homes Indoor Fly Trap since last summer, and they are a great help with trapping stink bugs, flies and the dreaded fruit fly. Having run out of last years glue cards, these were a great replacement. They are easy to use - just peel off the backing, and they insert in the Safer Homes device perfectly. I am now good to go for another summer. They fit well into the fly traps and happy they help keep away these irritating little creatures.

These bug catchers are great, they definitely work! We just moved into a house that had been sitting for months and had a terrible drain fly problem. I was tired of making apple cider vinegar traps and having fly ribbon hanging around so when I saw these I ordered them. They have totally fixed the problem! After less than 24 hours we had a bunch of different kinds of flies and even an ant stuck to one sticky pad. While the blue lights are bright, they’re not obnoxious and they act as a nightlight for the places we have these. These are a great value compared to the name brand and with how great these work, they’re just well worth it

These came yesterday, we put them together and plugged them in. We have many plants in the house and get small black gnats on occasion. I used to use diatomaceous earth, spread it around the plant base, it’s kind of a pain. After plugging these in, they collected those little gnats asap. By this morning not a black gnat in sight, one plugged in near the plants had collected several gnats on the sticky pad, the others around the house collected a couple. So far well worth the money!!

Arrived well packaged, in perfect condition. The directions were less than informative. But honestly, it’s not rocket science so….. these have a brilliant blue light. They are easy to use. They are absolutely useless. My home is pretty small, 1300sf. I live out in the country and flies are a real problem here. I left SIX of these set up for a week and they caught nothing but dust. As you can see in the photo, my coffee does a better job collecting flies. Don’t waste your money.

I just moved into a new house and the flies are absolutely horrid for some reason, so coming across this item I knew that I had to try it. One interesting thing that I found right after putting a few of them around the house is that the one in the kitchen area caught some gnats. I didn't even realize that I had those little buggers, so I'm very happy about that! They are super easy to use, just peel the sticker backing off and slide the sticky board into the light. Then plug in. There's a handy on/off switch that is very handy. The blue light works great for a night light, but I needed one in the master bath area (for some reason the flies like to visit that area), and in the dark the blue light bothers my eyes a bit. So I can just turn that one off without having to unplug it and mess around with it. By the way, the plug spins on the back so it works for both landscape and portrait oriented plugs. The price for this item is well worth it. I received six plugs and eight sticky papers. Being that they're used indoors, I can see the set working for a year or better.I definitely recommend this item! I've included photos of the bug catcher in a lit room as well as a dark room.Last minute feature that I forgot to mention: You cannot see the bugs that this light has caught unless you actually bend the sticky board or unplug it and look. This is a huge plus in my book!

For the price, these are fabulous. I have photos of the name brand and the generic in my photos for this review. They are slightly different but not by much. Currently I have a name brand in the plug-in trap. I didn't want to take it out and throw it away because it's only about a third of the way used. So I took it out and put in a generic one but didn't peel back the adhesive protection film. This way you can see it really does fit just fine. For the price, it's fabulous. I think 22 of the generic ones are under $10. Three of the name brand are $10. No contest there. I also have tons of the sticky traps that are shaped like yellow butterflies or yellow flowers that are great for white flies and gnats as well. I tend to stuff one of those alongside the refill in my plug-in trap. I only do this in my plant room so that I get extra mileage trapping gnats. To be fair fungus gnats are pretty easy to wipe out with peroxide, but I don't always have time to do that. And I like having the double protection of the sticky traps along with treatments of peroxide. So, if you're looking to save money and trap those obnoxious gnats, this is a fabulous way to go. They definitely fit the brand name that has the word home included in it. And it's a safe bet that these generic refills will work in your name brand plug in bug trap. The only issue I had with these and I'm not going to deduct a star was the shipping. It kept delaying the shipping. I think all total it took about 7 days before these got to me. Fortunately I wasn't in a big hurry. I try to order things that I use on a regular basis well ahead of time before they run out so delays and shipping aren't a big deal. But if you are in a hurry, this may not be a vendor you want to use.

If you have a gnat or small fly problem, these traps do work. I plugged one in an area that I know get these gnats/flies (near our plants where they seem to grow out of) and it caught 2 in the first night. So over time, they should effectively catch more and help minimize the problem in our home.Only taking one star off since I need to source one-sided sticky cardboard elsewhere but these are readily available at garden stores and you can cut to fit.
