This is a really nice set of set of micro greens seeds.I ordered this because I love to layer my sandwiches with micro greens, and have only had access to alfalfa sprouts at my grocery store, and even those are sometimes unavailable. With this set, you have a nice variety of seeds, and you can always have a supply on hand. They are such a great value, because you can grow them as you need them, in customized amounts, and there is less waste.I sprouted these in a mason jar with a special lid that I got here on Amazon. It has little holes for air circulation, and a stand to keep the upside-down jar elevated to enable moisture to drain out. it works perfectly.I love the fresh taste of these sprouts - especially the radish sprouts, which are a bit spicy. So good! The seeds are excellent quality and they germinate quickly. Before you know it, you have a jar full of fluffy, delicious sprouts!I wish I had tried this sooner. It is very satisfying....not to mention delicious and healthy!

I just got these sprouting seeds yesterday. It consists of four individually packaged amounts of broccoli, alfalfa, radish, and mung bean seeds plus a packet of salad mix that appears to be a mixture of the four. Each packet contains approximately three tablespoons of seeds. I wanted to see how the different seeds sprout, so I started with the salad mix. I followed the directions to soak a half of a packet in water for 6 to 7 hours, then rinse and drain and begin sprouting. The seeds were rinsed and turned upside down in a mason jar at 11 p.m., and this morning I'm already seeing sprouting activity. Now it's a matter of watching to see how these sprout together and which we like the best. What I like about this Petal & Pod product is that the big pouch is foil-lined and seals via zip-lock. Unlike some other sprouting seed products I've used before, this pouch fits neatly into a dry, dark cabinet without taking up much space. I like that the individual packets allow for experimentation with different mixes. The alfalfa seeds are tiny, so they slip through the holes of my homemade sprouting lid (made from one of those plastic microwave steamer products cut to fit a mason jar ring); I'll need to get a different sprouting insert, but that's not the seeds' fault!

I recently tried the Variety Pack of Microgreen Seeds (alfalfa, broccoli, radish, mung beans, and salad mix), and while I was excited to grow them, I ran into a little issue. The variety pack sprouted nicely, and I followed the instructions to rinse them once a day, but they started smelling a bit off after a few days. I’m not sure if I did something wrong or if it’s just the variety, but it was a bit disappointing. Overall, the sprouting process was fun, but I’ll keep an eye on the smell next time! Still have a few more to try.

Just a note about these. Best if you do not refrigerate, takes longer and not as good. The radish is really really spicy. Doubt kids will like. The alfalfa has a wonder earthy taste. excellent with tomatoes. The mung beans are a bit hard to tell if ready.
