This is jst a hard case of very bad quality. The external lining crumbles out and rots away with time.

Good product to buy just to get the battery! The case looks good and it fits the camcorder, extra battery and you can even squeeze in the adapter to charge the batter!

For the price of an extra battery, I also got an exceptional carrying case. The case can hold two extra batteries and several other camera gadgets while still providing both protection and ease of access to the camera itself.

This kit comes with a case and battery, it is that simple. Hi Def Camcorder starter kit? Okay.... Well the battery does fit Panasonic's great new camcorder HDC-HS300! What is terrific is that the battery (VBG130) sells ALONE for 45-60 dollars. Here you get it at J&R for 39 dollars with ostensibly a free case! The case is basic but useful.

It includes a VBG130 battery, and usually sells for less than the battery alone.The case is okay... not especially convenient or roomy, but not bad looking. Some will like it. I just use the battery.

bc of the geniuses at amazon, i got bedsheets and they said that it'll take up to a month or two for my replacement. WTH... i'm so pissed... at least you got a battery... i got bed sheets! :(

The title is quite misleading: Hi-Definition Camcorder Starter Kit. There is nothing in this item that is needed or helps in anyway to get started. There is nothing that in any way supports or helps with high definition recording. The HD in the title is quite misleading, the box doesn't even have the words HD on it, just says Camcorder starter kit. The battery is likely the smallest you can get. The carrying looks ok but its way overpriced and doesn't look like it provides any more protection than other standard carrying cases.
