Ideal for institutional, home, hospital, factory and office building use where strong odors are objectionable. Non-acid, powerful action crystalline flakes provide high surface area to the clog. Large flakes quickly dissolve grease, hair, soap, food and other organic material. Works faster than liquid caustic or bleached-based openers and is more economical to use. Glug can be used for both emergency and preventive maintenance treatments of clogged or slow moving drains and waste lines. Safe for septic systems when used as directed. Contains no phosphates or aluminum. Hot water formula will not solidify in drains. Will not stain and is harmless to most metal and plastic pipes, valves and fittings and will not damage chrome, brass or fine plumbing fixtures. Avoid contact with aluminum pipe or utensils, acrylic and fiberglass bathtubs, basins and surfaces. Available in four convenient-sized containers with child-resistant caps. About ten years ago our plumber pulled Glug out of his bag of plumber stuff and showed it to me. He advised that it was a really good product. My plumber is fab and very knowledgeable so I listened to him. I remember seeing the price at first and thinking that it was a little rich for a drain opener but went ahead with the purchase anyway. That bottle lasted about 8 years if you can believe it. It's very different. Not a liquid but flakes, small flakes. You don't use much so it lasts. The flakes need a little help to get into the drain so I occasionly use a knife to work them in. Don't let that scare you because Glug does exactly what it is supposed to and does it well. It leaves the drain so clear you'd think it was brand new. No smell that I can tell and once you get over the initial price you will be ever so happy. It lasts a long, long time. As you might be able to tell I love this stuff! Toodles!

Works very well. Very strong! Use eye protection. Works best when the sink is not filled up with water. Very caustic, but it works. a few pellets is all that is needed. A few minutes later run water through. Follow directions.

I have tried and tried many drain clearing products. This one is the best, for sure. Here is how I get the drain cleared in my house. You MUST get the water Warm to hot, before you start to use this stuff. If the drain is clogged just run the water until it gets warm to hot into a cup and pour the water from the cup into to a bucket. You must bail out as much water as you can until the sink/tub is clear of water. Once the water is warm to hot, shut it off and put 1/2 to 3/4 cup of the Glug flakes on the drain. Remember to wear gloves and eye protection, cause this stuff is dangerous to us humans. Now slowly run the warm to hot water for 5 seconds and stop. The flacks will now melt and begin to do their magic. Wait a few hundred seconds and this stuff will clear out your drain.A very important step is once your drain is clear, you now need to run the hot water for a good 4-5 minutes to clear this strong stuff out of your home system. This is hands down the best product that I have used for clearing drains. I ordered 6 bottles for the 70 year old apartments I service as all of the waste pipes are cast iron and corroded. They clog very easily with hair and what not. The bottles came in one box, packed with only one small piece of packing material. One of the caps had worked it's way loose and there were crystals everywhere. Hopefully I will get another to replace it but Amazon needs to do a better job of packing.

This product is trul remarkable. I have a new bathroom sink that continually becomes slow and clogged, trapping dirty water. Gross!I was going to use Pequa as usual and perused Amazon before going to my local hardware store for Pequa (which is pretty good). After reading the reviews I ordered Glug, figuring I had nothing to lose.I followed the instructions (except for measuring and using a funnel). Within 3 minutes the clog cleared and the water was running fast. I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT! Actually, I still can't believe it! :-)I have no idea what this stuff is made of. All I can say is that it works and is worth every penny!It's a shame that Amazon limits the number of starts to just five. I would give this product many more!NOTE it's important to read the instructions regarding water temperature, etc.If you're looking for something to unclog your drain, don't think twice - order Glug!
