This is extremely well made and cute as a button.This is my grand daughter.We are all surprised at how well made it is and the price was amazing!!! Highly recommend! Btw shes 21/2 months old in pic...weighs 8.5lb.

Colors are as advertised. The top is not symmetrical, but I should be able to fix it with some sewing. A couple of the pearls came off in shipping, but I can also fix these with some new glue after I get done with the sewing. The tail is a bit curled from shipping, which isn't a huge deal because I can iron it flat.All in all, this little costume is darling for the money. The crochet is nicely done and the material used is soft baby yarn. It'll be perfect once I make those alterations I listed above.I like that the bottom has a tie in it, which makes it adjustable. My baby isn't due until August, but the headband and top look like they should be small enough to fit a newborn.I'm happy with the purchase, but it isn't perfect. If you're handy with a sewing kit and have some fabric glue laying around, it should be as close to perfect as you'll get for around $10.***EDIT***It took me about 10 minutes to fix the top.I easily popped off the pearls and carefully picked off the old hot glue. This exposed a single string which was binding the middle. I untied the string and moved it to a more desirable spot, then used Tacky Glue to replace the pearls.Because this was a super easy fix and because I'm happier with this product now, I've upped my 3-star review to 4. The first 3 photos show the items as they came and the last 2 show my end result, (the glue is still drying and will end up clear).

Such a cute costume for new born photo session. The only negative I have is its rather large for a new born baby. I had to wait til my baby was 1month old for it to some what fit her (7.5lbs 20.5 inches).It does have a tie to adjust around the mermaid tail but it really doesn't make it tighter, it just causes the material to bunch. I ended up tucking the extra material under her to make it look like it fits better. It does come with the bra top, I honestly didn't like the top the tail its long enough to cover the chest. I wish the tail had some sort of lining just so it could be alittle bit warmer for baby while taking pictures. But all in all its very well made, super cute and affordable.

I’m amazed at how many people are giving this a less than perfect review! The description says PHOTO PROP, and it is exactly that. It is absolutely perfect in creating super adorable photos! I am a photographer, and it is a great addition for our sweet baby girls! It is great quality - I crochet, and I certainly couldn’t make one of these even close to the price! Even if you have a few pearls missing (which I did not), take out the glue gun or sewing kit and fix it! You cannot beat the price! Also, my baby was a preemie born at 3 pounds...she was not able to wear it until she was about 7.5 pounds as it does run a little big...it has a drawstring on the tail, and you can tie the top and the headband, so I’m sure you could make it work for a photo if they were smaller.
