- Remove part of the tape cover and start wrapping by placing the thin end of the grip on the far end of the handlebar
- Press the grip so that it sticks and start wrapping by removing a part of the tape cover as you go
- Wrap till the near end and cut the extra grip if necessary with a knife or a blade
- Seal the end using the extra glue provided in the box

Installation is really tricky (at least for me - lol). Practice a little before attempting final installation. My first one was perfect! I started at the outer part of the grip, then when you get to the inside part, cut off the end so that it looked nice and neat. I also used the included superglue on the final 1/4 - 1/2 inch. looks beautiful & feels good (although both grips are now very slippery - I hope that gets better).Now the bad news (for me). I horribly bungled the other grip installation! I wrapped the grip unevenly & and so it looks awful, and doesn't feel as good as the other one. TOTALLY MY OWN FAULT. I could have probably simply unwrapped it and started over, as the instructions clearly state. But it was a little dark in the garage and I didn't realize how bad I messed up. To make matters worse, I also cut the end to fit & used the superglue.Very happy & satisfied with the quality, look (the cherry red), shipping, delivery, and price. I've purchased a few of Trip Machine products (tool roll, roll top backpack) and they're all top quality, handmade by craftsmen who embrace the riding lifestyle and get it. These leather grips are in the same category - high quality, cool retro look, fair price. I installed these on my Triumph Bonneville T120 and they look and feel great. I wanted a little color accent and leather feel and they fit the part. One thing that I wasn't expecting - they make the bike feel more stable, handle better. What I mean is that the diameter of the grip is now slightly larger and it makes the ride feel more stable, smoother. It's a little hard to put into words, similar to how different diameter steering wheels on a car make it feel different. Anyway I really like it and my grip heater elements still penetrate through (it just takes a little longer to warm up). Trip Machine makes such quality stuff that I'm always looking for something else to add to my retro-style bike. Ride safe my friends.

Product is of decent quality, however, you are expected to super glue the end to seal it. Videos and instructions mention an extra adhesive strip. Super glue soaks and bleeds through the leather leaving a hard spot . Furthermore, if you mess up and have to peel back, the tape removes the finish on top of the leather making it seem as though these are painted not dyed on the surface.Rather disappointed.

These grips give a vintage look to your bike. The only problem I faced was adhesion. The 3M double sided tape is not as strong as it should be. The overall fit and quality is good. I would give it a 5 star rating if the adhesion was strong.

They went on easily (per the video on their website) and I didn't need to trim any leather off. Secured with rubber bands after super-glueing the ends. Use plenty of glue because the leather soaks it up. Treated with a light coat of neatsfoot oil. They look great, add a small amount of diameter, and reduce vibration. I have not found them to be too slippery. They are not cheap, but do customize your bike with a premium product!

These are just right. Thickness is prefect for me. Wear my hands are not griping on to thin and cramping up. Looks nice. Be sure to wrap the right direction. Twist tight, don’t pull till the wrap breaks , but keep tention as you go. I’ve used these on four of my bikes. Look better over time. They clearly use high quality leather. It’s soft and has just the right amount of stretch to fit various grips. A little pricy but it is a good product. I’ve bought quite a few of their other products too. I’ve been satisfactory and Had great packaging.

These looked cool for a while but grew moldy after a few months. I can’t get rid of the mold because it’s deep in the leather. I followed all of their instructions and they never warned of mold. I really wish I hadn’t bought these.
