Memento Mori and the accompanying reaper, skulls, and hourglass all together makes a beautiful piece that anyone who would appreciate the message would love. The design is quite detailed with small fractures on the skulls under the reaper to intricate filigree around the hourglass. My only gripe is that the grind on the outer edges of the coin are quite rough.Right out of the protective plastic case it stood out to me that the edge is a bit uneven with some spots being flatter than others. The edge near the face of the coin has some chips from grinding errors. Not only that, the edge is more raised on one face than the other, this will not balance on it's edge. It looks and feels like these must have been cut as larger pieces and then grinded down to a mostly round coin shape.It’s unfortunate that all the other beautiful detailing is contrasted with some poor quality finishing touches on the edge of the coin. Still mostly happy with it, a bit disappointed this coin won't balance well or flip fairly due to the poor grinds, but this seems like an easy area for improvement in the next version.
