It was fairly easy to set up and operate and I like that I can connect to me computer. It does not come with the rechargeable battery (separate purchase). It has a large enough area to weigh several different items making it's use versatile. It also is accurate with the measurements that I have done. I also like that I can change the the measurements to grams, kilograms and pounds as needed. It appears to be durable and is easy to operate. I like the option of using it with rechargeable battery making it even more versatile.

We've been selling home-raised beef and needed this badly! Since it hooks to the computer, it makes it highly versatile. We were able to figure it out in a short period, not too much of a learning curve to figure it out. It weighs so many different things - ounces, grams, even coins- and seems accurate. We did not get the battery that goes with it, only the cord. This product is made in China.

'Quality of build' is the operative to describe this scale. Starting at the weighing platform!The platform is a two-piece outfit (see photo) that can be used just fine as it is - or remove/lift off the outer stainless steel tray- with it's rubberized blue decal - and set your containers directly on the gray plastic tray. Either way, just zero & tare...ready to fly. If you've used one of these before, you'll know how to program it. Unfortunately the manufacturer does not include any sort of instructions. They're easily downloaded as a .pdf from the internet.There is no battery included with this scale and that's okay! The manufacturer enclosed a note (see photo) apologizing that they can't ship a battery with the scale. At least they so specify the size & type. It's no big deal at all.You can purchase a proper 6v, 4ah battery for less than $15...or you can use a battery tray and adopt a common sized battery.A battery tray that holds 4x 'AA' batteries (see photo) can be substituted if you're desiring cordless operation. I wouldn't plug it in with the 'AA' battery tray if using Alkaline batteries though - the scale will try to charge them & they might pop. Use NiMh 'AA' batteries instead. The batteries allow operation without AC power - so honestly the AC cord is going to get left behind. I need this scale to be very portable in my shop & kitchen.Either way you use it, it's a really accurate scale. For counting or weights, the units of measure are selectable from imperial or metric. It's a no-fuss scale that is made to do work.There's even an RS-232 port on this device (see photo) for printers, etc. This scale is like a duplicate of all the scales we've used in my workplace, all with different brand names - bit identical functions and programming.I tested the 'part count' function and indeed it does work. Weights appear to be accurate within .05 gram - it's a really fine utility scale, not a balance scale for measuring micrograms! It does very well for it's design.Nice bright backlight, all functions work as they should. Very easy to clean and dissassemble. Completely easy to use!I'm a fan - the only reason I couldn't give the last star was because of the lack of a user manual & no battery included. That may affect some users in choosing this scale. But for me, it's great.I'll be weighing in on it all day, every day.Two thumbs up!

Does what it is advertised to do. Had no issues. Calibration wasn't needed. Worked right out of the box.

Didn't come with a battery. Won't turn on without one. Scale top had a blue sticker covering it that wouldn't peel off easily and left a ton of residue. The whole unit feels extremely cheaply made, and can't even be used without buying a battery separately. Pass on this one... Get one that just plugs in and works...

This scale is nice!!! It is originally set to kg, but can be changed to lbs if needed. It is precise and does exactly what I needed it for. It is heavy duty and high quality.
