I bought these stilts for part of a costume. They are articulated like human feet, with a hinge at the "ankle", and an ajustable spring and shock absorber bridging from shin to toe. The spring gives a very comfortable walking motion, since you can rock forward and spring off the foot during a stride. The pads and buckles are secure and comfortable, and can be worn for a few hours at a time without major issues. Everyone that visits has a blast wearing these around the house, just for fun.
