This is just a piece of foam; can hardly call it a mattress, maybe a mattress topper. Besides that, it's not firm *at all*, which is the reason why I bought it. Instead, I bought a similar 3" foam mattress from IKEA, which was cheaper and is a real mattress and actually firm and comfortable. Returning this large piece of foam has been a nightmare. So if you're on the fence about this, I would say "no" to avoid the headache of having to return this slab of foam.

I built my own camper on the back of my 2003 Tacoma. I took this foam mattress and cut it down and divided it into 3 sections and sewed cushion covers for each one and velcroed them in place to function as the bed. If you google "otis24 bodonkadonk" it'll take you to my truck's build thread on tacomworld. I have a few posts about this mattress there.Anyway, I've slept on them for 114 nights in all kinds of weather.I find it very comfortable. The foam is firm but only 3 inches so f you kneel on it your knee will go through but if you sleep on your side it's just right.

It's not memory foam, but they don't advertise it that way so nothing to be upset about there. That said, it is fairly firm and I think it will work well for a replacement mattress in our popup camper. It's a little less than 3 inches though. It's just hard for me to get too excited about a piece of foam that cost $100 -- but I guess that's the going rate these days. My verdict: good, but nothing to get excited about.

I purchased this product for our DIY camping setup in the back of a pickup. I built a platform 49" x 75" out of 2" x 10" and 1/2" plywood. This gives me room underneath to store totes, firewood, folding chairs, etc. Then I put this foam on top to create a mattress that is quite comfortable for me and the wife. I bought two cheap full size fitted sheets that go on either side of the foam to completely encase it and keep it clean. I'm 180 pounds and can just barely feel the plywood underneath around my hips but I like a stiff mattress anyway and it is not uncomfortable by any means. After sleeping on the self rising sleeping pads for camping, I would say this is definitely an upgrade in comfort. Also, this does not bounce around when one of us moves at night like an air mattress does. The foam is quite stiff and supportive. The price seems awfully high for foam though.

Does it's job. I put it on the hybrid matrass that was pretty soft for me and gave me a backache. Now it feels much harder and more comfortable to sleep. Lets see for how long it will stay firm. ...

Built a bed for my van. Put a layer of carpet padding on top of the plywood and then the 3" foam. It is very comfortable. My only complaint is the high price. It's foam. Maybe $5 worth of foam. 5star for comfort. 1star for price. IMO

We bought a medium price range mattress two years ago. I've struggled with back and hip pai for about ten years now, waking repeatedly during the night, and feeling like a semi ran over me every morning. I've spent more nights sleeping better on a hard sofa than in bed. I bought this foam to add firmness to our mattress. The first night I found this to be too firm. So I added a thick comforter on top of it for a bit of softness for a few days. Two days ago I removed the comforter-pad to see if perhaps my body had become accustomed to the firmer surface. I slept peacefully, and awoke with no pain, feeling refreshed! Though this has made our bed seem quite high, it feels good to sleep in comfort and not wake numerous times throughout the night. If you bought a pillow top mattress in the last ten years, and blame aging or a bad back on your pain, I'd encourage you to try this. The firmness took a few days to get used to, but I am very pleased and satisfied with this.

This is a factory fresh new product. Well made, clean, quite firm, perfect rv bed and bench seat padding. Cut easily with a $3:00 thrift store electric carving knife. UNBELIVABLE GOOD VALUE ! I was cautious when I ordered, but upon delivery I was very pleased.
