Perfect for what I needed, just to keep leaves out of the pond, the only negative is that I wished I could have purchased it in a smaller size. This one was a little big but I made it work.

This is easy to assemble, just like any tent, but the poles are cheap. The stress of bending them caused 2 of them to splinter. I would like new poles without having to package and send an item back.Correction...thry are splintered in 3 places - at this point, I don't want new poles, will be returning and try a different brand.

My backyard water feature/pond had become a watering hole for our neighborhood feral cats, and a buffet for a mama raccoon and her 4 babies. While they’re super cute, munching on my water plants and terrorizing the fish was not acceptable. This cover has been an absolute blessing. No more critters. While I would have preferred to have an unencumbered view, it’s worth it to know that my plants and fish are safe. I’d definitely buy another to protect a garden/plants.Regarding the product - easy to assemble, easy to install, well built. I used landscape staples to provide additional tie downs to assure nothing could crawl underneath the cover. Success!

I have tried many things over the past 20 years to keep leaves put of my pond in the fall. I tried making my own pvc covered with window screening A frame. I tried the netting that you stretch across. I tried netting on thin pvc poles the arch over the pond....While everything I have tried has kept some of the leaves out, none of them has kept all the leaves out, and all of them have been awkward. The netting options also ended up easily frozen to the ground and then tore when I tried to get them off.Enter this pop up tent to cover the pond. I measured my area and decided this would work. It arrives all packaged in a storage back. If you have put any domed tents up in the past few years you will find this very much the same. There are two collapsible poles that slide through sleeves from one corner of the tent to the opposite corner. Tips for those who haven't put together a pop-up tent: push the pole in the direction that the segments are pushing into each other (if you push from the other direction you will find the segments separating inside the sleaves on you) AND put both poles through the sleeves before you try to arch the poles. (See picture 3)Once your poles are in the sleeves, start at one corner and insert the metal cylinder that is attached to the ring onthe bottom corner into the Hollow end of the pole. (See picture 4). Go to the opposite corner and repeat. This will now lock the pole into an arch shape. Repeat both steps with the second pole.Once the poles are arched, tie the tie you see in the very center around both poles. (See pictures 5 and 6). This will help keep the tent more stable.Move the tent into place over your pond and use the provided stakes to anchor the rings on the 4 corners.I like that this tent has a side that can fully unzip and tie open. It made it much easier to get my pond pump out whenever I needed to clean it. It also made it easy to help birds get out the couple times they managed to get in. (The shallow end of my pond stuck out past the edge of the tent, so a couple birds managed to walk under it into the main pond area.)The one thing that is not perfect on this cover is that the bottom edges do not have a way to keep them taught. I ended up sitting rocks along the edges as leaves were blowing under them.Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and had a great deal less leaves to fish out of the cold water of the pond. I have taken it down for this season, as most of the leaves are now off the trees and bushes, bit it will certainly be pulled back out next fall!
