We purchased all three of the Jeffersonian Weather Products and love them! They can be mounted on a single pole as shown in the photos. The temperature is lowest, topped by the rain gauge, finished with the wind vane. There is a fourth wind-direction indicator for the vane. We used the poles to achieve an extension of the wind vane to get above some nearby bushes. It is slightly wobbly but still looks great and has already experienced some wind gusts above 20 knots. (Post Script: We ended up pulling out the two additional brass bars ... 14" inches each ... to lower the wind vane and other items and stop the wobble ... but it is working great at the new (5'2") level and is excellent for grand-kid heights!) We did not use the ground mount system, as we had an existing screw-in-the-ground mount from a bird feeder in which the main (first) pole fit perfectly. The temperature gauge has been amazingly accurate so far (we compare it to our Davis weather station for actual micro-local temperature). The wind vane is just fun to see spinning. Rain gauge works, but we have to remember to bring in the glass for winter. All in all, we are very pleased with the system and wanted folks to know you can stack them vs. having three individual mounts.

I guess for the price my expectations were somewhat higher but this thing is simply not very big. It works, it’s cool, but it is SO small.

I bought this same rain gauge from a different seller, but the name on the product was the same. It was quite expensive and made a wonderful gift. After the first year the red float lost all of it’s color and then disintegrated. I contacted the manufacturer and was told the red float couldn’t be replaced. The glass gauge also broke and couldn’t be replaced by the manufacturer. I wouldn’t even give it one star, but you can’t give it less. Definitely not worth the money.

Glass vial breaks easily and not well secured on the rain gauge. Had the replacement vial removed because of freeze and thaw cycles. Everything else great. Could use a second pole extension for units using the stake to bury the mounting stake in the ground. On the plus side, the 2nd gen has replaced the wooden float and the gauge looks awesome.
