I have 2 of these - one for each of my cats. They are sturdy and very easy to put together. The top loading door makes it so much easier to set your cat inside and get your cat out. It is a very sturdy crate but I still would not trust the top loading lid to always stay shut when carrying it- there is always a chance it could break open so I always make sure I am supporting the weight of the crate by putting my arm under the crate and not just carrying it with the top handle. Best to be safe and not sorry.

🐈YUP,That's her and that's relaxed but you can imagine whatshe looks like most of the time!!👍 sturdy👍can be taken apart as in our story👍easy tighten bolts👍strong doors with deeper pegs holding it shut than my other👍top loading with a more generous sized top👍 fits our 18 lb beast👍cute, bc she is girly.. Well sort of👍 price is fair🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈💚OUR STORY💚So.. A few years ago we had to take this darling to the vet for a stress inducedcystitis ( yes, stress can cause that alone), bacterial, ( from hidin out n holding pee) little bit of crystal urinary extravaganza!Knowing it wouldn't be easy I braced myself to put her in the carrier id had for 20 years andthat carrier is actually for a dog and it's a little bit on the big side....Well after about losing a limb trying to get her in it,I got it in the car where she promptly flailed around so much that she smashedthe carrier into the dashboard more than a few times making mehave to pull over on the side of the road to secure it with a seat belt( something I never had to do before with anybody else bc its really big andGenerally stays put .. But this is PUNKIN MONKEY BABY, a frightening beast of a creature!... The carrier was this style and it stood up to the abuse!I was told years ago a toploader was easier to get them in, andI would not have gotten her in a front door....When we got there the very nice lady said she was pretty good with difficult catsand she said something to punkin .. now pumpkin didn't reply that I knew ofbut in all the years I've had cats Ive never seen ears go quite that far back on a headas they did on her...... at this point the nice lady said to I'll go get the gloves where she got the big leather up to the elbowFalcon handling gloves.. Then unbolted the carrier so we couldRemove the whole top half ( thank God i had that style carrier!)... They disappeared into the back, then the very nice but man came outand said she's alittle bit of a pistol ..we had to muzzle ...her now I've never had a cat muzzled..I've had lots of cats for many years , I don't know what it looks like..I imagine a Hannibal type of thing?!?Well In 2 weeks I had to take her back in for a second round of the uti antibioticInjection ( not uncommon to need a second.. Sure beats pills!!)Fearing the worst I asked for a drug...they gave it to me , made a point of saying don't give it to her any Sooner than 2 hoursprior... he made this very clear... 3 people told me the same thing 2 hours before the appointment !Well I gave it to her she only took half of it she made it was started to complain (but she does cause she's a talker )and within 5 minutes she looked up looked at us looked at the ceiling and went down like a darted buffalo..Luckily she was fine and I was able to get her into the carrier ..amazingly she had super cat strength and was able to fight me even in a drugged state..So since that.. Any time shes even spied that carrier, she freaks out.. Even ifShe just sees it for a second, and as nice as it has been, its got some rustFrom a stint inthe basement, and its been cleaned and dried so many times! So we decided to buy a new one of the same tried and true style..(Almost went For a soft 1 until I realize there's no way to quickly slam downthe top of a soft carrier the way that you can with a hard 1 which is necessary whenyou're dealing with the kitty like this..As big fans of Jackson, i was pleased to see this and it didn't disappoint! Its a nicer cuter sturdier version of what we had, and it is becoming herHideout when needed.. Shes made friends with it!I hope i NEVER need it, but its there if i should need it..Good quality,Happy🐈🐈🐈🐈🐈

Having to make a trip to the vet (or elsewhere) and can’t have your pet loose in the car? This carrier is a GODSEND. Instead of trying to cram the poor animal through the front door, leave the front door shut and put them in via the top door! Less stressful for both parties, and faster!

I raise foster kittens for a local non profit agency so am transporting kittens for a variety of reasons. I like the top loader for its ease to put kittens in the carrier. It is well vented so the kittens can see out and I can check on them while they are in the carrier. It is easy to clean and is large enough that the kittens have room to move about.

Really like the crate- attractive and sturdy. Perfect size. It was difficult getting a few of the screws in. Didn’t line up exactly so I had to use a hammer to get them in but since it opens at the top I don’t have to worry about needing to disassemble crate to get my cat out

This is just meh. Plastic is flimsy and I had to remove some loose plastic bits and file down some questionable edges on the cutouts. (See photos.) The nuts are plastic and will go threadbare if unscrewed again. May replace with metal. I put a 12lb bag of cat food in it and nothing broke or collapsed, handle seems sturdy, so that’s good. My cat also seems to feel meh about it. He went in for the treats I put in there but hasn’t gone in since. I think the door may be a bit small for his liking, but he can get in and turn around. He just can’t sit up in there. He’s about 12lbs and quite a tall tom. It will serve its purpose of getting him to the vet and back. He hates the soft carrier bag we had, in part because he doesn’t like being picked up/having his feet off solid surfaces without his consent. :) Hoping this will at least ease some of that stress, but it wasn’t worth $50. I should’ve gotten the cheaper Petmate version. This is just $20 more for the Jackson Galaxy name and a few sparkles.

I needed a new top-load carrier for our latest addition and found this to be the best looking option for the price. I was very impressed with the quality when it arrived. Assembly was very simple and both the door and top hatch open and close easily yet latch securely. Taking the carrier apart for cleaning is a cinch, and there is extra hardware included in case you happen to lose a screw or one of the plastic nuts. I've had comments from folks when I visit the vet asking where I found this carrier. It's a sharp looking carrier and works very well.

I had been looking for a top load cage for my cat for quite some time and finally settled on this one and Im glad I did. It was a great price and its the perfect size for my 'husky' fur baby. It was easy to put together and seems very sturdy. She also loves napping inside it as it doubles as a safe space for her and the pink colour is super cute as well.

We have been using this for about 6 months now for our Maine Coon who had quickly outgrew our smaller cage. She is comfortable to sit up in and lay in the carrier during transport. Due to having two doors allows her to use it to relax in, as it is always out and accessible for her, and also us an easy/ simple/ low stress way to put her in. This is one of the most sturdy kennels I have used over the years would definitely recommend.

Perfect, Quality CarrierThis Jackson Galaxy Carrier exceeded all my expectations! And, I'm particular. I got two of these "pink" 24" Petmate carriers for our cats. They are a gorgeous 2-tone fuchsia berry pink with subtle glitter specks, and black. The side and top doors open and close easily - and securely. The entire carrier is extremely sturdy, including the handle. This carrier is built to last!Amazingly, both our cats will actually walk into the carriers, and one cat often goes into the carrier to nap. The carriers look so great they’re in the living room with the side doors open, so that cats have free access. (I put cat “beds” in each carrier that fit perfectly. ) So, they are doubling as “cat condos”. How great is that! I am thrilled with them.
