I ordered this from Amazon as I had this item before, using it at work, and gave it to my sister to help her with a stressful time. I am aware of some of the issues with this product (i.e. needing to keep the water level filled to prevent noise) and this was never a problem for me. I actually like this product quite a bit and ordered one for myself. This is where this review begins to tank (no pun intended):The product came with a defective motor so the water is not pumping. After assembling at work, filling, trouble shooting, emptying, disassembling and bringing back home, I worry that the hassle has just begun. I now need to figure out how to get my money back AND a replacement. I feel myself becoming progressively less zen and progressively more irritated, which defeats the purpose of this.

the seller i bought the fountain was great. my review is for the fountain alone. the $70 price tag is far too much for this fountain. if you can get it for $25 or less at the corner RiteAid or something, it would be a better. It is very quite, almost cant hear the water. the rocks do not fill up the bottom like the photo shows. you need to 'prop' the top up with something other wise it's tilted and the water flows off one side only. The bottom (bowl) is plastic, tho the shelves which you really need to adjust alot are slate. one thing that really bothers me is that besides it's cheaply made, is that the pump and ALL cords etc are submerged underwater. this concerns me because of the cheapness so im not confident in the safety of the cords being under water at all times. so i will not rearrange the rocks ete with the fountain or let children touch it.but all in all it does what it says and after some time the top will sit in the correct place with out the prop.

We bought this as my wife has fibromylagia. First, it took so long to get I forgot I ordered it. Like six months! The pump never worked. My wife cleaned like the instructions said and it does not work. An expensive piece of trash!Get some gravel off a street and flush you toilet and you will save $$$.DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!

Verdict: For 35 bucks, it's an attractive fountain that can spruce up a corner or wall. But don't look for flaws, because they're easily foundAesthetics:+ Attractive and clean design... in the front- Because you can't set anything up in the back of the fountain+ Lights cause the water to sparkleo A good mixture of smooth rocks is provided, although they have to be placed precisely to avoid falling- Each of the little levels is a thin plastic tray which makes it super light, but feels like shoddy constructionPerformance:+ Motor is EASILY drowned out by the sound of falling watero Slot and tray design allows a wide variety of setups, but the water hose coming up the middle limits your tray placement+o + +o Refilling is simple, but is necessary too often due to the small reservoir- Setting it up, although simple, is finicky if you want to set it up well- If not set up just right, it can splash all over the counter

A few years ago I had a Homedics Envirscape rock garden fountain. not illuminated, but solidly built. It finally got a little ratty with use, so I decided to buy a new one with a light this time. This new version is very cheaply made out of light weight plastic.. all of it. I was rather disappointed to say the least, but I decided to put it together and see how it worked. It takes a little patience to put it together. It's working ok. Having the setting on the highest level for the pump is the best. Anything lower is useless. There are less rocks than in the original, so the inside workings do show. I plan to put more of the old rocks in and around it to cover up the open spaces. It seems nothing is built very sturdy anymore. Hearing the water fall over the rocks and slats is peaceful. I needed that water flowing sound. We are in a severe drought.

First off, my fountain is quiet...I have excellent hearing and bought it to help sleep and it does this well. I had no real problems with set-up, despite the fact that I read the instructions only after assembly! There is a bit of splatter after many, many hours of running, but adjusting the pump to about 1/3 between the "-" and "+" setting fixes most of that. My room humidity stays about 45% and at that level you need to add water every two days or so. Mine is visible from over 180 degrees and it looks nice from all sides. I found there were plenty of stones supplied, despite others problems. Oh, and please fellow-shoppers, unless you have bought one or have used one of a friends, it isn't helpful to rate a product based on speculation. All considered, a fine product!
