This hip thrust machine is a game-changer! The padded backrest is super comfy for heavy lifts, and the adjustable roller stays locked in place—no slipping mid-rep. Finally nailed 300lbs without a spotter!

1) Limited Range of Motion at the StartThe distance between the pad and your hips at the starting position is excessive. The most critical part of the hip thrust for glute hypertrophy is the stretch position, which occurs at the bottom of the movement. While hip thrusts naturally lose tension here, a well-designed machine should still allow for a deep stretch. Unfortunately, this one does not.I have a 32” waist, and even at the lowest adjustment setting, I have to raise my hips 6-7 inches before making contact with the pad. This significantly reduces the range of motion under load, especially for smaller individuals.Possible solutions:Larger diameter pad to accommodate different body sizes.Adjustable pad height via a vertical sliding mechanism on the metal frame, allowing for a locked-in starting position.2) Slippery Back PadThe vinyl back pad is a bit too slick, causing sliding towards the head during thrusts. This affects stability and can make the movement uncomfortable.Possible solutions:Use a textured, non-slip cover for better grip.Add padded shoulder supports at the base of the headrest, leveraging the existing frame structure.3) Confusing Weight Capacity InformationThe product listing is unclear about the actual weight capacity of the machine. The title states "800 lbs capacity," yet the description mentions a "maximum weight capacity of 200 lbs." A photo in the listing further complicates things, showing:"280 lbs" with arrows pointing to the weight posts and bench area."Max weight capacity: 880 lbs" in the same image. The manufacturer should clearly specify the max loadable weight on the weight posts vs. the total structural capacity of the machine.Final ThoughtsThis machine has a solid frame but needs better adjustability and design refinements to maximize effectiveness. If Homlane addresses these issues, it could be a much better product.⭐ Rating: 3/5 (Until improvements are made)

The glute bridge machine is easy to use and can effectively activate the gluteal muscles to enhance the workout. The solid structure makes it ideal for shaping a beautiful butt and is highly recommended!
