I hate the stock OEM rubber grips Harley puts on their bikes. I opted to get these, and they look way more stylish and are more comfortable that the stock ones. The installation couldn't have been easier. Other than the fact I always struggle with those pesky throttle cables, but that isn't the fault of the manufacturer, lol.The only complaint I have is that the retaining screw does not sit flush with the grip when tightened as far as it will go. This leaves a little bump that your hands keep running over and you constantly feel when you are riding, even through gloves. The one one the left grip was even a tad sharp, so I do not think they are machined very well. I ended up getting out the Dremel and shaving them down flush so I wouldn't feel it any more.

Pros: entirely metal construction. Look great. Grips feel nice, not too tacky.Cons: Can’t put them on because the threaded screws to hold the clutch side were not with the package. Paint wears off easily.I would recommend to use as something for short term, but they are not for long term, durable use.

Opened box and was really surprised at how nice these grips were. Made well, looked great, a perfect match for my 1200. Install was ok, have to take your time. Was concerned because the 18 yr old original grips were still on but got them off easy. Did the throttle first in case there was an issue but there wasn't.Now the downside, the clutch side grip does not clip into the grip, it slides up to the clutch portion (see photo) and sits against the housing and then the 2 silver allen screws to tighten down ... NG because they do not sink into the grip when tightened, the stick out. I had it mounted horizontal but saw that the screw would rip my gloves so I turned it vertical to stay out of the way of my thumb (see photo)All in all, they are very nice grips with that 1 downfall on the clutch side. They match exact to my bike, so good that I don't want to take them off but I have to figure out something with the screws sticking up.Update: The throttle grip became unscrewed while i was driving. Pulled over to learn that if you turn the throttle clock wise, it unscrews. In my world, this is dangerous and I don't like it. Tightened it down by opening throttle all the way and then more to keep it tightUpdate: Drove home, got off my HD and saw that the end cap of the clutch grip was missing. Looked closer and saw that it's screwed on .. Why ? why would you put screw on's on the ends. Ordering a different set today

They were super easy to install and tune on my XL1200N, the only gripe I have is that the set screws on the left throttle poke out a bit, so I noticed it if I'm not wearing gloves, but I'm always wearing gloves while riding.

These add a little bit of extra flare to my bike and just really make it feel more custom and premium. The grips rubber insulate the vibrations a little bit but they are not soft or malleable. No issues with friction or slipping with or without gloves on.
