These are a size 8 and fit my 8 year old just perfectly. There are shorts inside. The only thing I found odd was that there are no tags in the back, so it may be a bit hard to tell the front of the skirt from the back. But I can tell because I have sewn pants and shorts for my kids. I can look at the inside of the skirt and tell that the seam for the back is fuller than the front, but this may be harder for people who are not seamstresses to do. But the skirt would look adorable dressed up or down, and fits true to size.

Super cute skirt that I ordered for my daughter. The material is not super soft as this skirt is a bit more structured. I love the ruffles and my daughter loves dressing up so this is perfect. It fits my daughter well too.

Super cute on and true to size. I love the dainty look this skirt gives without the worry my athletic little girl is going to expose herself. This is a lot more flattering then a pair of shorts but you still have the full coverage of shorts. The material is easy to clean and looks well put together. I styled this with a Daisey Duck t-shirt from Disney World and she looked cute as a button. And I just can't tell you how nice it is to have piece of mind for her on the playground since she loves to run crazy all over the place and do cartwheels while playing soccer. This girl doesn't sit still and even after a long day of school, she came looking just as well put together as she left (except her ponytail was half out, lol).

My daughter loves this skirt. The one we got does not puff up like the pictures showed, but she does not seem to care. The color is very flattering and can easily be paired with a nice blouse for a nice occasion or a t-shirt for playtime. For comparison, I ordered a 8-9 and my 6 year old usually wears a size 7. I was surprised that this fits her near perfectly as she is tall but thin. So it may run small in the waist compared to other brands (I did not expect this to actually fit her so well and thought she would grow into it).

I ordered this ruffled skort for my 5 year old daughter. She is a girl that likes to wear dresses and skirts but is also very active and likes to play sports and get dirty. This is the prefect skort for girls like her. She loves the ruffles and how pretty it looks and is also very comfortable running around in it all day outside. It is light enough to wear in the summer. She is tall for her age and usually wears a 6/7 so I ordered the 7 and it fits perfect. I washed it in warm water and dried it on low heat and it came out perfect.

Very pretty skirt as described I'd just wish the fabric were softer snce it feels a little bit stiff. But overall satisfied with it!Note: I got my child's regular size and was still a bit too big for her so maybe it does run a bit big.
