I'm using this to mount a binocular on a mono-pod. This works and it is the most economical way to accomplish this for a small bino.

I'm using this on a ceiling mounted 30" to 51" telescoping mount with a 2 position fixed direction accessory 0 degrees or 90. I use this in order to mount a 4 pound LED projector and be able to swivel it in almost every direction to center on three different screens. I like that you can choose different thread sizes, the fact that not only the ball spins, but also the connecting plate. All the materials except for the plastic knob on the locking screw are strong, lightweight and long lasting. The locking screw plastic is a very weak standard and thinly wrapped around the screw, it will break easily if to much pressure. If your looking for accuracy as in laser precision mirror reflection aiming or positioning a projected picture centered on a screen, you might wanna look elsewhere. This one takes effort to get anything lined up, once you get things just right, tightening the screw causes the ball to rotate. I like the amount of threads it has for mounting the projector, not a shorty like some of the others on the market. All in all a pretty decent swivel for the price. If the locking knob breaks off after 6 months, I wouldn't mind spending another 6 bucks to replace. So yeah, one star off for the flimsy plastic knob.

I have no complaints about this product except that the little knob that stops the swivel from spinning has a plastic head that broke when you overtighten it. It could have been better if it was completely metallic and knurled but if it wasn't for that, this would be perfect

This is not the most expensive and with a lot of features ball head, but it certainly help me to solve some problematic situations. Also don't spect to use it with the most heavy gear, is tiny and barely handle a single DSLR camera. However it does the job I need, keep my camera in position.

I got a desktop mic stand with a boom arm and put this tripod adapter on the end of it so I can position my web cam directly in front of my computer monitor. That way I can watch the monitor and see what I am doing and will be looking straight at the camera (almost) at the same time. With this gadget it is very easy to position the camera exactly where I need it. No problems at all, works as expected.Update: A year and a half of daily use and it is still working perfectly. I am now using a heavy duty mic stand with a long boom arm extended full length, so that I can position the webcam where I need it, and it is steady as a rock.Holding my little webcam firmly, and we are presenting some great Webinars. Nnow if you'll excuse me, I'm going to right now and buy another one so I can have webcams on both computers.
