Sometimes the best play and learning can be done with low tech items. This wooden open ended busy weaving board does just that. The wood is super smooth, and the holes are large enough to fit several pieces of fabric through it. The different fabrics offer another layer of sensory learning through the different textures and sizes of the fabric.The included fabrics provide a variety of sizes, textures and movement through the board. I can easily see how this activity can grow with the specific person by integrating fabric that have an emotional connection like a shirt they have outgrown or their favorite pajamas.I throughly enjoyed spending time with this sensory board, and I think it could also be perfect for elderly people to help improve hand and finger movements and just enjoy a creative product that is great on many levels.

The board itself is thick and smooth (no splinters in sight) so I am pleased about that, right off the bat. Also, it comes with plenty of ribbons and other pretty fabrics to weave through the board and they look lovely and they feel lovely. Overall, I'm fairly pleased with this product and I would recommend it. These boards can get expensive on Etsy, so I actually think 30 bucks is good deal for what you get.
