I'm no expert in making arepas and the kit didn't come with any directions so I just kind of winged it. I've only used the arepa molds so far but they work well. I used the two larger sizes but don't see a need for the smallest size. They not only control the size of the arepa, but also the thickness. It was a little difficult getting the arepa out of the mold once pressing the dough in, but after a few taps on the counter they finally release. I'll try flouring the mold prior to adding the dough next time. These molds are not necessary when making arepas but for the price are worth it for quickly making consistent arepas.

This product is about as simple and straight forward as you can get. As the video shows, the Empanada Maker Press is just a flat laying contraption that you place on the counter and essentially do all of the work for it. It doesn't close on itself, you have to add the content and fold it over and press it down to seal it. The plastic molds may be the one vital accessory to this but other than that, there really isn't anything to it. I am still giving it five stars because it didn't allude to be grander than what it is but I think the price point is a bit much for something so lackluster.

This is small, light and easy to use. It comes with 3 molds for your dough but the press is only for 2 of the molds. The mold thickness seems perfect for empanadas. The divit's on the press do their job. All and all, this is a very easy to use. Don't forget lightly dust the molds and press with flour before you use it. That will help the dough to keep from sticking. You could also spray with oil if you don't want to add more flour. Making empanadas isn't hard, but this does make it that much more easier.

At least my item only came with the red press and was missing the white bowls. I think it's not usable in this state
