I'll say firstly, the safety feature of the retractable blade is awesome. The blade pushes out with the push of a button, and retracts just as easily. Secondly, the blade is definitely sharp. I took off one star because even with a sharp blade and using a proper cutting mat beneath, for some reason you need to push really, really hard to get it to go all the way through your fabric. I've used it on fleece, polyester, rayon, and 100% cotton, and it's true for every fabric so far. If you don't Hulk-push it up your cut line, you'll have small spots where the fabric didn't separate that you end up needing to go back over. Baffling. Handy little tool, but remember to put some muscle into it!
