I love Domke bags and accessories and these straps are another great item. No twist, easily removed for tripod use (at least the big part). The smaller parts of the strap are still a bit long and may need to be secured if it's windy. Durability seems to be amazing; I have some that I've been using for years with no problem. Highly recommended!

SECOND ATTEMPT GETTING THIS PRODUCT SENT. FIRST TIME IT WAS THE WRONG ITEM. SECOND ATTEMPT WAS DELAYED. I'M SURE THAT WAS THEIR SYSTEM RESCHEDULING MULTIPLE ORDERS TO ONE DELIVERY DAY. OTHERWISE THE GREAT DOMKE STRAP.

Nothing wrong with the Domke strap, however tried to order two times, both times received a one inch strap with an Amazon sticker matching the 1.5 inch strap. Sold by Amazon. Want to upgrade as my camera is getting a little heavy…

This strap was used to upgrade the factory one that came with my Nikon D850 which is a heavier camera. I chose to utilize the triangular rings that came with the Nikon than the circular ones provided as they were thicker. This combination makes a solid point of attachment and pain free strap. It swivels so I don't have to worry about orientation in the field and it can be adjusted to wear across your shoulder as opposed to around your neck. There is a lot of room for adjustment.

I'm a photojournalist and the straps generally last 5 or so years maybe longer. Problem is the O-ring lugs are way too thin and I've had a strap work its way loose and with the camera hitting the floor, The solution I found is using the pricy Nikon brand lugs with the plastic shields. I really like the webbing with the rubber nodules. They stick to my shoulder even when I'm wearing winter parkas.

I have the 1” version and this is just as good and durable. Quality hasn’t changed since I got my first one a decade ago. Be a responsible consumer and do it right the first time by buying great quality products that last

I've had a lot of camera straps over the past 30 years. Manufacturers straps, Crumpler straps, Black Rapid Straps and more. They all have a purpose. This one is by far my favourite.

A truly no nonsense pro quality strap, Jim Domke was a pro photojournalist on the Philadelphia Enquirer and this Gripper Strap won't bounce your camera on the deck even at the run.

I bought this strap to replace an identical strap that I've had for at least 25 years. May even be closer to 30, but I'll be conservative and say it was 25. After 25 years, the little rubber nibs that form the gripper strips have begun to fall off, presumably because the adhesive holding them to the canvas strap has dried up.I'd say 25 years is pretty good life for a camera strap. Because this strap is identical to my old one, and there's nothing wrong with the links that attach to the camera (the parts with the swivels), I left them on the camera, unclipped the old canvas strap, and clipped the new one on. 25 years, and the only thing wrong with the swivels is some wear on the paint.I also like this strap because I don't like to advertise the fact that I'm carrying a very expensive camera. The last thing I want on my shoulder is a bright red "EOS" or a bright yellow "Nikon." This plain black Domke Gripper strap doesn't attract attention and suits my aesthetic sensibilities. As has been mentioned by other reviewers, the gripper strips work really well. I've used this strap for so long that I've forgotten what it's like to worry about my camera slipping off my shoulder.I'd also recommend this 1.5" strap over the 1" version. I have a 1" version the same age as my old 1.5 (its gripper nibs are coming off, too) and they both work well, but the wider strap has a bit more space between the gripper strips, feels a bit more secure, and is more comfortable on your shoulder.
