I had been thinking about buying one of these and was thrilled to see them in the vine program with not just one but a spare. They came with a blade already in them, although I was fully expecting to use an old one from my rotary cutter.

I absolutely love the design on these. The wood is neatly carved in a beautiful flower pattern, and the set is easy to take apart to change the rotary blade. The blades that come in these are already sharp so they are ready to use right out of the box.

I LOVE these! I have been wanting one of these for a long time as I do a lot sewing. When you’re sewing quilt squares together, I often chain piece, and then I have to go back through an individually snip all the blocks/pieces apart. With this thread cutter, you don’t have to pick up a pair of snips or scissors. You just take your thread and slide it over the exposed blade that’s between the flower petals. I opened it up and measured the size of the blade. It is 45 mm which is the same size I use in my rotary cutter. This means that I can use my “old” blades in this thread cutter and further extend the life of my blade for a different purpose than just cutting fabric. The fact that you get two thread cutters for this price is fantastic. I did not pay for them, as an Amazon vine reviewer, but if I decided to buy a thread cutter as a gift, this is the one I would buy. It is very well worth the money. The one thing that I noticed, when putting the thread cutter together after measuring the blade size, I found it easier to tighten the screw after placing it in the holder. The holder keeps it steady and snug so then all you have to concentrate on is the tightening of the screw. I really really like this holder as well, and the fact that it fits snug in there. Besides being well-made and a great tool for us sewing enthusiasts, it’s very cute. When I’m not sewing, I’m gardening so having a flower thread cutter is perfect for me.

It’s taken me a few days to get used to my new ‘VMBQRTI Daisy Thread Cutters’. They are very stable as the base is wood and fitted with 4 tiny silicone pads. The daisy design holder is 2 wooden sides sandwiching a 45mm rotary disc blade between them. The total thickness when assembled is 5/16” thick. That wide flat surface requires more thoughtful positioning of the thread to be cut. In the beginning I found my rhythm cutting chain pieced quilting blocks to be a bit of a challenge. My old cutter had a more sloped or rounded edge and placing the thread was quicker, but it did do a slip ‘n slide that these new daisies do not.I’m pleased with these two cutters and recommend them for any quilting studio.

These flower thread cutters are excellent. They are so cute and I'm finding them quite useful and actually usable in a functional way. The bottom has nice rubber feet that helps prevent the cutter from sliding around. Having a pack of two is nice so I can have one next to my sewing machine and another one at my cutting table for when I want to make sure I don't lose the order of my pieces. The flower part fits snuggly into the base and won't fall out easily. Enough of the blade is exposed so that it's easy to separate chained pieces, but it's also still safe to handle without fear of accidentally cutting myself.

These are great. I love the size of them, they fit nicely in my hand. I also love that they have a stand for them, or can be removed from the stand easily. I've been known to get a little careless with my scissors floating around my project back so these are a great alternative. They would be great as an alternative to scissors if you are teaching a kid a craft that needs to cut yarn, thread, or embroidery floss. The little flower pattern is so cute looking, and I love the shape of the petals.

This is a nice little gadget for cutting threads. It really speeds up the process when you're chain stitching quilting projects. I like the fact that it's made of wood. The blade is nice and sharp. You get two of these in the order for a very good price. These are less than 1/2 the price of the plastic one and you get two instead of one. My only issue with it is that the space between the petals is rather wide. I feel this would not be a good tool to use with children as it would be very easy for them to cut their fingers. I think even adults will need to be careful.

This cute flower has a sharp secret -- it's got a razor sharp blade inside that you can't really see in the dips between the petals. This can sit out with pets or kids around (keep out of reach of the younger pets and humans who might want to handle it or put it in their mouths). This is so much easier than having to keep scissors handy, especially if you are doing some crafting in front of the TV or in your comfy chair where there isn't a lot of room or you don't want to accidentally sit on your scissors or lose them in the cushions. If you've ever had to resort to cutting your thread with your teeth then this is a tool you need. Plus it's so adorable and there is a spare one to gift to a friend!
