This was easy to set up on my 5 gallon bucket. We were attempting to catch a chipmunk on our back screened in porch who has been getting into our bird seed on a regular basis. I smeared some peanut butter on the lid and a tiny bit on the ladder. Then sprinkled some bird seed on the lid which stuck to the peanut butter. In the morning all the peanut butter was gone off the ladder and the four mice were huddled in the bottom of the bucket. A win-win and much easier than setting several different mouse traps. Great bang for the buck! Did not screw the lid to the bucket.

I was so excited to find a metal trap lid instead of that cheaper plastic one. It's perfect, I have caught 10 mice so far. I put just about 1/2 tsp of peanut butter on the fast end of the the trap door and I also it some food in the bottom of bucket as well.

It's slightly fiddly to get set up on your own five gallon bucket - but it does work. We used it in our backyard for a rat problem.
