Your cart is empty.The Flex-Hone tool is a surface refinishing tool that will is used to refinish and restore cylinder bores. The surface finish is dependant on the grit used. The tool is used for applications like engine rebuilding, hydraulic cylinders, brake rebuilding and general machining operations. Flex-Hone Tool can be used with honing oil or engine oil. If honing hydraulic cylinders use the intended hydraulic fluid for the lubricant.

On a recent AR-15 build, I had a chamber that wasn't right. Difficulty feeding, ejecting and even stuck cases!Each case had a scratch lengthwise, indicating some sort of burr within the chamber. I couldn't see it yet it obviously had to be there.After measuring, marking and oiling the hone, per the instructions, I cautiously proceeded to hone / polish the chamber.I then cleaned it with water / dish soap using a small nylon bottle brush. Dried it then oiled it.The gray / black goo that came out was quite scary looking.I was skeptical that I'd succeed but in a very short time, my normal looking, dull silver chamber was now brightly polished! Like chrome!It looks so good I was afraid I went too far. I checked the headspace & fired it.No more issues! It accepts any ammo I tried, even cheap steel case!I use my guns primarily for teaching safety classes so I can't afford the distraction of malfunctions.Now I have another reliable rifle that I'm proud to hand over to any student.Be safe, use the right tools!
