I think this is a great boot! It is really well constructed and the BOA lacing system is well implemented and very convenient. I really love the boot. I've only had them a few months so I can't yet comment on long-term quality but they seem great. My only problem with them...which is my own fault...is that I have a cruiser and these don't work particularly well with a cruiser. The seating position on most cruisers simply doesn't lend itself to wearing such high, stiff boots. But if you want good protection you sort of have to go with a touring/sport style boot. This is a problem with the cruiser culture as a whole...they tend to not take safety too seriously in my experience. Boots for cruisers tend to be low-cut, or high-cut but ONLY leather with no actual protection.Anyway, these boots are comfortable, appear to afford a great deal of protection, and are well built. I highly recommend them.

The boots feel great but, like others have said, run a bit small. My feet are a little on the wider end and I usually wear a size 10 US but got a 10.5 in these boots and it is a snug fit, very comfortable though. The Boa closure system always felt secure and never failed. The velcro is showing wear but, after 14000 miles wearing them through every kind of environment, you'd kind of expect that; it's not the main closure anyway so it's no issue that it's starting to weaken. The soles of the boots show minimal signs of wear and are still attached to the rest of the boot firmly. My only complaint is that the boots are not actually "waterproof/breathable". I would classify them as showerproof because, in continual or heavy rain, they will soak through eventually and take ages to dry. Personally, I would have preferred to have them without the liner and improved breathability so that my feet didn't sweat so much while riding through tropical Central America.Overall, they are comfortable, durable boots and I'd definitely recommend them for the price.

The cable for strings replacement does not work better than a zipper. The boots are pretty, look good and make you a little taller than you normally are, which is a plus for guys my size- where the wife has to get on her knees to give me a kiss good-bye before going to work.

These boots look nice, feel great (the fit is a bit small ,but that is good with how I like riding). I love the wire tightening system! However, the main closure method for weatherproofing is velcro. From the top of the foot to the top of the boot, there is velcro along the side of each boot. This would be fine, except that the material is leather and requires a break in period. I havent even broken in the boots completely and the velcro is already wore out, and at the ankle there is NO WAY it will stay fastened, coming loose after a single step. For $250 boots you expect this to be something that is considered during construction, and although there is a slight gap in the velcro tabs to allow for movement, it does not prevent the velcro from coming apart. The velcro not holding together defeats the entire water proof statement about these boots. Luckily I havent had to ride in much wet weather...*UPDATE* I have had these for a while now and the velcro is almost completely "shredded." they are comfortable, but they are not waterproof because of a failed velcro closure system. The "gaps" they placed in it to allow your ankle to bend are mis-placed and do nothing to help. This was a waste of money, I could buy wal-mart boots for less and have them be more effective.Additionally the top of the boots are a bit....bulky...as if they are designed to wrap around the pants, yet the pants do not fit within the boot. I pull the pants over the top, and in my case the size is just large enough to keep the pants from flapping in the wind at 80 MPH (yes, that is our speed limit), reducing the wear and tear while riding. *UPDATE* This is not replicated when wearing chaps, those still tend to snap a bit, and this is worse now that the velcro is destroyed.I ride to work daily 45 miles one way, mostly on the highway. To have boots whose closure system is worn out already after only one month is not only irritating, but a pure waste of money. They fit nice, feel nice, look nice....but they are not fully functional as intended or advertised, but a better boot that will last. *UPDATE* I was wrong about them lasting. The inside is still comfortable, but the cable system is bending in places yet still work. The velcro failing has completely destroyed the abilities of this boot.I wish I could get a refund....

It arrived in very good shape. Very stiff, need time to break in. I can see and feel the heavy protector around my feet. The rotay tie system works very well. Need time to adjust my shifting habbit, but I won't try to cheat safety. Overall, very happy with the purchase.
