This coin comes in a circular, plastic, protective case - just a smidge too large for it, it will rattle around if shaken. The case can be taken off by finding the single divot on the circumference and prying off one round face with a fingernail or flat screwdriver.It's beautiful, to be sure! A lot of detail went into the artwork, which is slightly raised and 3D-textured, as well as painted to appear to have deeper shadows than it really does. Impressive illusion work, truly. I don't think it's actually paint? But some sort of dot-printing? I don't have the microscope necessary to really examine it, but the color's stability is impressive to me! Of course, it comes in a protective cover for a reason, the colors will likely fade with sun exposure and finger-rub-wear off over time. The brassy-gold color from the other side will likely peak through over time, as if one painted a fresh penny. I can't say for sure exactly what metal is used for this coin, but I am confident, by the weight and smell, that it IS fully metal, and not just painted plastic.The text of the prayer is all spelled correctly, printed in straight lines, and encourages me. I'm happy to give this 5 stars because I can tell a lot of polish and quality-control checking went into this item.
