Your cart is empty.These hand-made bean pots are excellent for making bean, as Mexican have done for generations. It's narrow top and wide bottom lets the bean cook evenly. It is beautiful enough to take to the table for service. Length 11in (handles included), Width 89in, Height 10in, Diameter 7in and Capacity 4qt (filled comfortably without overflowing). Will last many years with proper use and care (each piece comes with a product information sheet outlining the Uses and Care for the product). As with other clay cookware, the flavor of the food cooked in it actually improves with use. Completely natural and safe, contains no toxins or lead. In the semi-desert region of Hidalgo, Mexico, our cazuelas are made by hand by artisans whose craft has been handed down for several generations.

I bought this to replace my old bean pot I got from the market. I never really liked my old one because it smelled like paint and I was hoping in time it would go away. It did not. This pot has no smell at all.Decided to just get this one anyway!Wish I just got this one in the first place!Yes, it will leak at first because the clay pores need to get clogged with minerals from the water and the food you cook. Just make a pot of beans and you’ll be good! It won’t leak anymore. Just start using it!

My spouse and I had been craving fresh cooked beans throughout this pandemic, and we only eat at home these days. We'd never successfully cooked beans on our own before, but we were hopeful, with this pot, we would be able to finally recreate the delicious frijoles de la olla that our parents made for us.Finally, after talking about it for too long, we gave in and bought this pot.It was a major success and a great purchase. We've been able to successfully produce fresh, delicious, nutritious cooked beans with this pot many times. However, it's best to use this with a heat diffuser to protect the pot and allow the heat to diffuse more evenly across the bottom of the pot.I highly recommend this addition to your kitchen, if you like beans!
