AIOMEST 7400A line splitter is an auxiliary tol for clamp ammeter (large current measurement) or for multimeter (uA/mA small current or voltage measurement).
the clamp one of wires can obtain accurate current value when use clamp meter to measure current.
The inside structure of line splitter will separate the wires into single through measurement window, and take the 10 times current to measurement window.
In that way, you can measure the single conductor inside the sheathed power cable accurately and conveniently without destroy the clamp meter with sheathed Power cable.

This is a handy device to measure AC line current with a clamp meter. You plug it into an outlet and plug your load into this splitter. You can then use your clamp meter to measure current. This splitter has two windows for the clamp meter. One window has a 1X current reading and the other has a 10X reading for lower currents. This is normally a safe procedure. Unfortunately, this splitter only has non-polarized connections without a safety ground connection. You can plug it into any outlet, but you cannot plug in a polarized load. The neutral side of the polarized plug for the load is too wide for the receptacle in this splitter. You may be able to force a three-pronged load into this splitter, but the safety ground connection will not be connected. You could also use a two-prong to three-prong adapter from when most homes did not have three-prong outlets. The problem with this is that the safety ground for the load is not connected and it presents a hazard. A friend of mine died because the power tool that he was using did not have a safety ground connected and he was electrocuted. If you use this - be careful.

The issue with the AIOMEST AC Line Splitter for Clamp Meter is the receptacle on it will not connect to polarized electrical plugs - common to just about all 2-prong plugs used in the US (see attached pic).I was able to craft an adapter so I could test this product. Other than the receptacle issue, the line splitter works well to isolate the electrical wires to accurately measures amperage on 120v AC power - up to max of 15 amps.LIKES:- on/off switch on side of splitter very convenient.- Has 2 small access holes to attach meter leads to read voltage, etc.- Feels solid and durable (looks like it can take a beating in toolbox).- 1x and 10x openings operate as intended.- Provides an easy way to read amps when using a clamp-type amp meter.

I thought this was the best AC line splitter for being the only one supporting 100-230V, an on/off switch and a low current outlet for multimeters. It's actually the worst since I could plug in nothing but 15W cell phone and USB chargers. I saw it wouldn't take (polarized) 3 prong connectors but it doesn't fit (polarized) 2 prong connectors either, where one is larger than the other. That's everything I wanted to measure. What a colossal design flaw that anyone testing with US electronics would notice. You can buy a $7 power cord here on Amazon that converts polarized to unpolarized 2 prong connectors to use this splitter but no one warned me. At $30 for splitter + cord, I'd rather use a splitter with a 3 prong grounded connection for full compatibility and safety. As in, all the other splitters sold here.
