We used this for a simple backsplash and are very happy with how easy it was to put it in. We had bought ceramic a year ago that we just were not getting around to putting in because of the process. If you keep in mind that ceramics are also synthetic, it is pretty easy to make the change to plastic tile. Good product. Recommend.

I'm not a renter, but wanted a quick refresh ahead of a big party when we didn't have time or money for a new backsplash. I put the directly over the glass tile backsplash. I would NOT recommend applying over anything but smooth glass of ceramic tile. The adhesive side packs a punch! Once you place, you will NOT be able to adjust. Which is both good and bad. These suckers will hold up to anything! But they will rip off anything under them if you need to remove. One smooth glass tile, you can get them off with a measure of strength and a screwdriver, but in removing to reposition one, I pulled up a the mortored in glass tile under it. Had to glue that back in to have consistent depth for the replacement.)Pros: These stay put! They are well made, very thick, the marble is beautiful - looks, and even feels, very real. Cutting was easy with just an exacto knife. Just score and snap. Came with a protective sheeting on the face to every tile in the box was perfect.Cons: See warning about adhesion. Very hard to remove and adjust. Because of this I highly recommend you use a chalk line or other means of making sure each one is perfect straight. I would also recommend using the tiniest tile spacers or figure out another way to keep the "grout lines" perfectly aligned. You can see in the 'after photo' you will need to work to keep them perfectly aligned.

The item is exactly as advertised but one box of the tile is not that much. In order to do any project of any size, you'd need multiple boxes of the tiles. Also, I was looking to see where the adhesive side of the item was and it didn't easily come off (I didn't try hard though because I wasn't intending to use it in that moment). But it's nice and, with enough boxes, would do a nice job on any project you were looking to use this tile with.
