These are pretty much designed for use with a costume. I do not see using these as a fashion accessory. Used with a costume, this is OK. They are thin width, and have elastic to stretch-to-fit. You can also adjust them for length so they don't choke, or be too tight depending on where you wear them. The front with the studs and chains are relatively decent looking, but again, they are thin width and from the rear you can see the elastic. These will definitely not wear well over time. The elastic will stretch out with use, and get ragged. Because they are thin, they can dig into your skin if worn for any length of time (over 30 minutes). For me, these would have to be twice as thick, be made of leather (or fake leather) entirely, with the strap being adjustable. For the price, these are not terrible (because you get 2 of them), but for me, I'd look for something made with better quality and appearance.

I love that these can be used as both garters AND chokers. I plan on primarily using them as chokers. I have a bigger neck so finding chokers in this style that actually fit me comfortably is a nightmare. With these having elastic in the band I can customize the fit and still have a little stretch so I finally have chokers that I can wear without,,,ya know,,,actually choking me.
