These 111 Series Centric Brake Shoes have a good braking ability and don't chew up the drum. Installed September 2019 with new hardware (springs), the factory drums were cleaned up with some medium sandpaper to remove a glaze and surface rust as the vehicle was parked a long time. After Five (5) Years, I checked the condition and am amazed at the minimal wear as this Windstar van is a heavy vehicle.. The 300 series semi-metalic brake pads is another great option on the front brakes or the 301 if you prefer ceramic type... I used Centric brakes on a Toyota car on both axles and have been happy with the stopping power and long life of the friction linings. *Photos taken on January 18, 2025.
